Family Pictures

"We sure are cute for two ugly people"

While we were in Utah my amazing sister Kristi Suguturaga took family pictures for us.  I can't say it enough.  She is Amazing.  I just love her to death.

That explains a lot

James ask Gwenevere "Would you like to wear a different color besides pink?

Gwenevere: "Pink is like a pacifier"

Last night James and Gwenevere were watching down hill skiing.
Gwenevere: "Oh those girls are going down the hill FAST.  I go down hill slowly"

This morning Gwenevere is getting ready to go to a friends house.  "I'm going to Chloe's house, you and Papa stay here but i'll take Grace."
Mama better keep Grace as a bribe to get Gwenevere back.  :-)

Winter Banquet 2011

SPTA (Student of Physical Therapy) Winter Banquet  2011

It's crazy to think this is the last SPTA activity we'll be attending.  In a few more months James will graduate with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  The last three years have gone by so fast.  It has been wonderful and I can't wait to see what happens next.

But back to our date night.

On Saturday we took the girls over to the baby sitter's house and had a wonderful date night.   The SPTA banquet was held at the Tacoma Yacht  Club.  We had a yummy dinner, then each class preformed a skit and then there was dancing.  We (at least me) danced for 2 hours,  James joined in for most of the dancing and by the end of the night I think he was actually enjoying himself.  :-)  (Dancing is not really his thing).  But we had a ton of fun.  Whenever a lame song came on we just walked outside and enjoyed the Puget Sound View with Christmas lights and boats going by.

Story time

Zoo lights

The Box family invited us to see the zoo lights with them on Tuesday.  It was awesome.  The lights where amazing and the company was perfect.  The best part was (a free camel ride and unlimited rides are the carousel).

We three on a camel.
The camel's name was named Greg
Gwenevere loved the camel ride.  She said "Wee"  the entire ride.  personally I found the camels hump to be too boney but  still enjoyable for the 3 minute ride we had as a family.

My favorite set of lights

Grace's first time on the carousel

Surprises

I love having a 2 (almost 3 year old)  it's been a bit of a challenge lately but today when she asked me for a Dandelion, I knew things are going turn out okay.

So much to Celebrate

Today is a great day.  I can't explain how happy I am.  James went to school to present on his (3 year) research project: the capstone to his education.  In a few months James will graduate for PT school and start his career.  He is excited for the new adventure and we are happy to able to celebrate  his achievements with him.

Nice briefcase

While James was at school doing his presentation my little Sister Grace was returning home for her 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  She few into Salt Lake and was met by my parents, Kristi and Haini's family, and Laura and her kids.

But before she made it to Salt Lake she had a layover in Atlanta were she had a chance to visit with my Luke and Jenn and their family.

In a few weeks we'll get the chance to spent some time with Grace and introduce Baby Grace to her Wild Auntie.

When James got home from school we had to celebrate.
Lucky for us Jack in the Box is only a block away.
So we walked to Jack in the Box and had a pumpkin pie milkshake.  Yummy.

James carried both girls
They were a human totem pole.
(a precious picture in my memory)

Gwenevere digged the milkshake.

We love you James.  thanks for sharing you special day.
and we're excited to see you Grace.

Decorating for Christmas

The day after Thanksgiving we turned on the Christmas music and decorated for the holiday.  Gwenevere and Papa did all the work, I took pictures and played with Grace.

Gwenevere was a great helper

She tested the ornaments

And helped Papa organize them

We hung the stockings and talked about snow

We put up window stickers and talked about the birth of Christ

James stayed up late and made a popcorn and cranberry garland.
I think it makes our tree look perfect.
I just love this time of year.  I'm busy making crafts, mailing Christmas cards, and counting down the days til James finishes school.  Merry Christmas!
