Moving to Eugene was a step in the dark. But I can see now one of the best blessings from the move was my kids education. Because of amazing women who reached out to my family we found the perfect place for us at Bridge Charter Academy. Thank you Brenley and Jenni.
The girls go went to class once a week for three hours. They love their teachers and the classroom experience. They built a 3D model of the town Lowell , helped with classroom elections, hatched Chicks, learned to auction, break codes, went on a treasure hunt, had music lessons and performed in their first recital, took care of bunnies, ran a successful Christmas market, participated in state testing and enjoyed field trips to the air and space museum and oregon aquarium. plus so much more.
For the end of the school year, the School hosted a huge water party at Dorena Lake near Cottage Grove. (Crazy to think I used to have church activities at the same place. never thought that would happen.) They provided lunch, jet boats for water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, pontoon rides. kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, water trampolines and more. I great way to end the classroom school year. My girls are so sad they have to wait three months to go back.
no doubt about it, we love Bridge Charter.
Grace has been my easiest child to homeschool this year, Her "can do" attitude has been a sweet breath of air in a year of so much change and struggling growth for our family. Grace loves her teachers (she had two mrs. Jackson who had a baby in March and Mrs. Marshall who took over.) Has been a good friend to classmates and a helper in the classroom.

I often get frustrated with Everett's stubbornness, determination and opinionated personality. Sometimes I cry with frustration "why?" but then I stand back and watch with awe the amazing little man this boy is becoming.
Gwenevere is the only 4th grade girl in her class. *there are girls in the 3rd grade in her class. But she'll be the only one moving up to the 5th grade. Despite leaving her friends behind Gwenevere is optimistic that 5th grade is going to be another great year. Gwenevere loved her 4th grade teacher Mr. Seilbi. The guy is crazy about learning and has been a continual support to Gwenevere as she continues to learn all that she can. Although she struggles in some areas Gwenevere has a real passion for research, reports and art. After watching Grace take violin lessons Gwenevere decided she wasn't to take up music lessons as well. She debated about what instrument she wanted to learn first (so many choices) but in the end decided to stick with the piano for the remainder of the year.
Next year she wants to do piano, and violin, or maybe ukulele. Catelyn instantly fell in love with Gwenevere and two of them have been best friends all year. the two of them have enjoyed gymnastic classes and playdates and are planning to hopefully do horseback riding lessons together in the fall.
