Easter weekend: Tulip Fields
We've missed the tulip fields last year and so I tried hard to make it work this year. Luckily the stars aligned and planning a trip to the tulip field turned out easier than I imagined.
Gwenevere was still visiting cousins in Portland so Friday morning James and I packed our bags and headed down to pick her up. Grace and Everett played nicely in the car together and we found a independent donut store in Olympia that we decided to check out. The donuts where good.
Soon we where at Red Grandma's. Stephanie brought Gwenevere to us and we visited for a while before headed south to the tulip fields. We went mid day which isn't the best light for photos but we had a blast. We ended up playing and exploring for 2 hours. We raced duckies, took a hay ride, petted a donkey, saved bees trapped in tulips jumped in mud puddles. It was a perfect day.
Rebecca and Max where able to join us for a little bit near the end but my kids where getting hungry so we said goodbye to cousins and headed out to get some dinner.
I'll let the pictures tell the story.
I love this girl's smile. She found hiking in a shoe to be Hilarious.

the competition was high and Grace got some good jumps in with her pumping.
The man of my dreams.

We picked up some pizzas at Little Caesar and checked into our hotel room for the night.
We went down to the pool to play but was soon turned away since a person had just thrown up and the pool needed to be cleaned.
We went back to our room and watch some TV before falling asleep.
