November 19-26th Happy Thanksgiving.

Sunday:
Everett is becoming quite the games man.  I love playing games with him.

Grace and Hank waiting for Papa to come home from work.

Monday:
We invited friends over for school.

The kids made Lemonade and Gwenevere wanted to take a picture of it.

family home evening, relaxing together with no lesson.

Tuesday:  James had the day off.  He took the kids to Gymnastics, made delicious steak for lunch, and we took family pictures.  that evening we got a babysitter for the kids and James and I went out to eat at the lobster shop.  Then we took a walk in the rain and watching fishermen fish for squid.

dinner at the lobster shop and a walk in the rain with an umbrella.

Wednesday:  I took the girls ice skating while Everett played at a friends house.  After skating we picked up lunch at mcDonalds and ran a few errands.  then we came home, made pumpkin pies and packed for Grandma's house.  James got home early and helped us finish packing a loading the car.
We got to Grandma's house around 10pm but no one was ready for sleep.  Uncle Austin showed us all his instruments and we played until midnight.  Finally we settled down and Papa read to us until we feel asleep.

 Thursday:  Happy Thanksgiving day

James got up early and took Hank for a run, then he helped Grandma stuff and prep the turkey.  We ate a yummy breakfast James made and then waited for family to arrive.
We played board games, ate dessert first and visited with family.  Rebecca took some family pictures for us and then we had Thanksgiving dinner.
After dinner we drove over to Green Grandma's house to visit.
exhausted we climbed into bed around 11pm and peacefully slept all night long.

Friday:
Friday I woke up early and went to the temple.  When I got home James was finishing up breakfast with the kids.  We packed up our bags and vacuumed Grandma's house before saying goodbye.
Then we drove to the east side of Portland to take a look at a base guitar.  James ended up purchasing the guitar and then we needed lunch.  We stopped by Fred Meyers and had soup and pizza sticks for lunch.  Then we drove out to Beacon Rock State park and enjoyed a beautiful family hike.

White friday with no lines.  my new favorite.

"I got a guitar"

On the way to Beacon Rock.  Someone was tired.

At the trailhead.  I was hoping to get a picture with the sign but,  oh well.  and this picture was actually taken at the end of our hike.
Grace got to walk Hank most of the way up.

Lots of bridges, lots a switchbacks.  A fun hike indeed.

We finished the Hike around 4:30 and realized Grandma Sharolee's house was about an hour away.  So we called up Grandma and asked what time dinner was served.  hehehehhe

We got to Grandma's house around 6:00pm  we had leftovers and visited.  We met Charolette an exchange student from Belgium and then finally got back in the car to head home.

Saturday:  James had to work.  He's an amazing provider and never complains about all he does for us.  I got to help the Rosser family take family pictures.  and then we invited the Rossers over for pie and games.
I love game nights.

Sunday:  We made it to church for the last hour.  but it still counts.  I locked us out of our house.   When we got home from Church James was able to break into our house in less than 2 minutes.  hahhahahah oh dear.  But hey, we didn't have to break the door knob.  James cooked a wonderful pork roast and finally took a nap.

Then he played on his new base while we played nintendo.

We put the kids to bed and did some holiday shopping on amazon.

I can't end this blog post without expressing my deepest gratitude for my life.  Everytime I sit down to write on our family blog I am overwhelmed with the magnitude of my earthly blessings.  I am grateful for the gospel, for institute, for James, He is my foundation, my heart and my joy.  For my children, Gwenevere and her christlike ability to sacrifice her desires for the betterment of our family.  For Grace, her joy and happiness, her love for her siblings, and for Everett, his desire to improve, become and to grow.

Because I have been given much I too must give.  I am thankful for this year's personal goal to attend the temple once a month.  I think next year my goal will be to give more.  I'll need to do some more brainstorming/pondering on how I want to accomplish it but I can see now my need to do more.

Christ has given me so much,  I am forever grateful for my knowledge of him, the plan of happiness and my eternal family.
