I've been wondering if Grace will be potty trained by the time baby number 3 arrives. I'm not really ready to start potty training but she's taken an interest in the potty so I'm going with it. We've played off and on the toilet for the last two weeks but today Grace actually went potty on the toilet. AWESOME. but this sweet news gets even better. A couple hours after her first success Grace comes up to me again and asks to go potty a second time. YEP twice in one day.
I've been itching to sew ever since I got pregnant. I don't know why but it seems I sew the most while pregnant. Anyway, I decided with everything that is going on it was best NOT to start another project at this time. Hence the reason I haven't pulled my sewing machine out. But today I gave in, I decided I could do a easy, one hour max, project while the girls played. Well, like most of my projects, my one hour hour project (That really should only take a hour) took me three hours.
BUT I HAD FUN! and Grace now has a stroller that can hold a baby.
This weekend we collaborated with our good friends and rented a rototiller for the day. My garden is beautiful. I never thought I'd be a happy hippy gardener, and believe me i'm far from it but I love trying and I can't wait to see what we can grow.
I got a little excited about my garden and took a trip out to the country to buy organic blueberry bushes, garlic, a few more raspberry bushes and some strawberries starts. We planted the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, but it got dark before I could plant the garlic and since they where already in a pot I figured I could plant them later. 3 days later and I haven't been back to the house. :-( Hoping to get out there tomorrow or Wednesday.
James had a very productive work day too.
He knocked down some walls, patched holes, and bought new TOOLS! The electrician has been working for 4 days now, and when he finally finishes we'll be able to move forward faster.
James removed a pipe that was in the wall for no reason at all
James knocked down the closet to make the kitchen bigger.
He took a little brake and chopped down some blackberry bushes
For the last couple of years James had mentions several times that he would like a new drill but couldn't justify getting a new one since he already had a decent one.
But in the middle of a project he dropped the drill and it shattered.
So to Home Depot he went and
this bad boy was what he found.
Gwenevere and Grace are quite pleased with his choice.
Grace came with me to get the plants and on they way home we where listening to Primary songs. I couldn't believe how much she knew.
Future renovation plans:
If we can get everything together in time the Young Women and Young Men from our ward want to come paint in a couple of weeks. That means I'll I need to do is sand and wash the walls, maybe get a layer of primer down. Then they can do the rest. AWESOME!
Also roomer has it, we may be getting a little extra help this weekend while James is at work. Can't disclose details but I'm pretty excited.
Even though the pictures don't look like it, I feel we are making progress and I still have my hopes set on moving April 20th. We have been truly blessed and I'm grateful for all the progress we've made.
Felt Little One kick this morning while laying in bed debating weather to get up or not. Happy to have stayed in bed just a little longer.
"Hello Little One, I almost forgot you are there. You have been a very easy pregnancy so far and I'm excited for you to join our family. You seem to bring me peace."
Speaking of peace, I am thankful for peaceful dreams after stressful days. I'm seriously thankful for the kinds of dreams I've had lately. I truly feel refreshed each morning.
Speaking of Little One. Yesterday while driving in the car Gwenevere asked or should I say begged to name Little One "Everett". Naming this child is going to be different just because I know Gwenevere will want a say in the matter. Good thing we like her taste in names, for the most part. hehehehehe
Grace has wanted to run naked lately so in order to go diaper free we've pulled out good old Mr. Froggy seat. Grace decided she really like Mr Froggy once she learned she can get M&Ms if she sits on it. Now we just need to get her to pee in it. hehehehehe The joys of potty training.
But by far the highlight of our Friday was swimming with friends
\
After swimming we brought our friends over to our new place and put them to work moving old kitchen cabinets
Saturday we had several productive hours to work on the house. A friend watched the girls for a few hours and I got a chance to work inside. The house isn't really child friendly so most of my work has been outside where I can watch the girls play while I work. Hooray for inside work.

The "open" kitchen
I sanded down, washed and primed one room.
I hope to do two more rooms this upcoming weekend.
James is finishing the taping of the ceiling

Downstairs
It's looking good,
hopefully we'll be texturing soon.
And then on Monday
We picked up Aunt Alisha from the airport.
We love it when she comes to visit.
She's here to help me keep my sanity while we finish fixing the house, pack and move while trying to keep up with our jobs.
Alisha and Grace went on a walk while I planted more flowers.
So far we've met with an Electrician, and contractor for the siding, and a heat pump person. Crossing our fingers we can get them all a lined and projects finished in the next couple of weeks. James just informed me he is working the weekend of April 27th so that means we need to move by April 20th which means all projects need to be finished by April 6th so that we can refinish the hard wood floors in time for the move. It's going to be crazy but I'm praying it will all come together.
At least that's what i'm telling myself. This weekend James put plastic all over the interior of the house. the scene reminds my of ET or other Alien SciFi movies. James in a white jumper suit that covers his body from head to toe, gas mask on and plastic everywhere. It's truly a sight like no other.
This weeks renovations included removing all 1600 square feet of popcorn texture on the ceiling. Yikes. It was a big project: second biggest project we have planned, and so far it's going great.
While James was down getting dirty, we girls decided a little dirt would do us some good.
James has been eyeing craigslist for some amazing deals on berry bushes and other great pollinating plants for the future bees. So today to reward James in all his hard work, The girls and I planted 6 Raspberry bushes that where HUGE. Digging in the grown took great strength and reminded me of all the work a garden will be. I started to second guess myself. But then we went over to our friends house and saw all the work they where putting into their garden and I got all excited about it all over again. I think I'll be digging in dirt for the next few weekends and hoping to start the beginning of a beautiful garden.

You can hardly tell but we have 5 raspberry bushes
