Picture Happy

We've been having a lot of fun with Papa around.
We stayed in a cabin near Mt Rainer with friends
We took the train down town Tacoma and visited the Children's museum ( I forgot my camera)
We've gone on lots of walks and played at many parks
James' cleaned the bathrooms and fixed our bathtub faucet
James and I went on a date: Sushi and bowling.
We helped two families move
Gwenevere's been practicing for her ballet recital
Grace has loved playing with her toy cars and is scooting around getting ready to start walking

But most of all be been having a lot of fun.

Here are some random pictures for the last couple of weeks

Gwenevere has to wear her hair in a bun for her recital so we've been practicing.

Gwenevere and Grace have rediscovered their love of playing with each other.
It's so cute.
Grace loves to play with this toy car town.

Gwenevere likes to pretend Grace is her pet puppy.
It's cute watching Gwenevere call Grace "Here puppy".  Grace gets so excited and starts crawling to Gwenevere which just reinforces the idea that Grace is Gwenevere's pet puppy.

Grace has learned how to climb up the toy ladder to get to the slide.
Gwenevere's safe spot is no longer safe from Grace
But Gwenevere's embraced her new little mini me

I bought some sun glasses for Grace and she's finally willing to wear them.
they look a little funny but it keeps the sun out of her eyes
We're working on summertizing the girls for Lake Powell.  YIPPEE!

Gwenevere loves to wrestle
Luckily Grace loves to wrestle too.
the two of laugh the whole time they wrestle

We also started our garden.
I know it super late but I didn't want to garden until I knew we would be stay through the summer.
We planted Rosemary, basil, and Peas.
Grace enjoyed eating the dirt and Gwenevere made sure the plants where well watered.

Growing Grace (9 Months)

My Baby Grace has grown so much.

Grace you love life and you love learning.

Your first tooth came through on May 14th.  It's the bottom right.
and your pointer finger is the best teething toy.

You now pull yourself up and let go.
You are my little dare devil, you scare me with your "no fear" attitude.  It always seems to bring a little excitement into my day.
I can't take my eyes off you off of you for even one sec while in the bathtub.  It's your favorite place to stand.

You are getting faster at chasing your sister around the house. I believe you can crawl down the hall in 4.2 seconds.

Each morning after eating breakfast you love to look out the window and watch the birds.

You love to talk.
Some of the words you say include
Papa, Dada, Mama, Gigi (For Gwenevere),  Ought Oh, and Hi
I'm not sure you know what all these words mean but you love to say them.

You also use the sign "All done".  Usually you sign "all done"  when I'm changing your diaper and when it's time for a nap.

You love to  play with Gwenevere and it's fun to see you two giggle

Grace you have a personality like no other. I like to call you Drama (in a good way).  You're either 100% happy or 100% mad, when you're not sure what to think you make the funniest faces.  I love it all.

You love playing with Papa's tools.

You are a dancer.  You throw your whole body into the moves and you laugh at my silly dance moves.
We dance to "I like to Move it move it"  At least 3 times a day.  (Gwenevere's request).

You love to be cuddled by Papa at bed time.

And you love to eat.  I don't think you'll have a hard time giving up nursing.  Your favorite foods are baby puffs, bread, apple sauce, bananas, and yogurt, (which is funny since you didn't like me eating diary for the first 4 months of life)

It's become a necessity to wash your knees and toes each night before for bed.  They tend to fade into a shade of black from all the crawling you do all day.

We love having you in our family.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of you this past month.

This is a classic Grace look

Not your best bath picture but it's the best I could take in between saving your life as you try to stand up in the bath tub.

Playing at the zoo.  You pulled yourself up.

You wanted to sit on Gwenevere's chair and you started crying because she wouldn't let you.  So I got out a little chair for you and you where the happiest little girl I've seen.

Graduation weekend

Boy oh boy we had a fun weekend.  It was filled with family time and lots of eating, my two favorite things.

Thursday night my parents flew in from Idaho Falls.  flying standby is always an adventure but I won't bore you with the details of their arrival.

Friday was James' last day at his internship.  He was excited to be done.  The rest of us slept in and then ate a wonderful breakfast.  After breakfast Aliya and Abram came over for the day.   We made Mother's Day cards and then went with Grandma Thomas to the park.  James got off work early and met up with us at the park. We ate pizza for dinner and all went to bed exhausted.

Saturday we baked cakes, Will and Jenni came down to visit, Grandma Thomas made alterations on Jenni's dress, while Grandpa Thomas entertained the kids.  Grandpa Roemhildt drove up from Portland with Uncle Dano.  We all went out to eat at Steamers Restaurant.  It was great food and a fun evening.  We walked down by the Sound and watched the sun set.

Grandma Thomas and Baby Grace

Sunday was the big day.  We woke up early, and ate breakfast.  Grandma Sharolee, Red Grandma (Sharolee's Mother), Aunt Val, and Austin drove up from Portland.  We all met at the house before going to James' School.

First was the faculty met and greet,  We took only the parents and the rest of the family met up with us at the hooding ceremony.

I'm telling my mom that the research project James and four other students did over the past three years has been selected to be on display at the International Conference of Physical therapy in Italy later this summer.  yes it's a big deal

Then we ate lunch  and the Thomas gang headed back to the house with Gwenevere and Grace while James walked at Graduation.

After Graduation we all met up at our Friend's clubhouse for dinner.  We had a wonderful day, and are grateful for all who were able to attend.

Sunday was a wonderful day.  Thanks everyone for coming to support James and our family.  We had a wonderful day and it will be cherished forever.
