Beauty sleep
Gwenevere was laying in our bed yelling for me to come in and talk to her. "What do you want Gwenevere?" Gwenevere responed "Mama you sleep here with me" pointing to the bed, "and Grace sleep there" pointing to the pack in play. I asked "Where will Papa sleep?" Gwenevere responded "Out there." pointing to the couch. lol
Preschool Halloween Party
On Thursday we had a Preschool Halloween Party. Tanya did most of the work. It was awesome, Gwenevere and Aliya invited friends, we made candy necklaces, went fishing with magnets, had a dance party, played with gak, decorated cupcakes and ate mummy hot dogs.
Making candy necklaces.
Gwenevere would string a few candies and than eat them so I took this picture as proof that she almost made one.
Doing a little dance
A gak bracelet
Gwenevere thought pumpkin needed a gak bracelet too
Decorating/eating pumpkin cupcakes
Oh I almost forgot the best part.
We had a pinata.

Pumpkin Patch
On Saturday we went to the Spooner Pumpkin Patch with friends.
We saw a really big pumpkin and I told Gwenevere not to touch it so James touched it for her.
Silly boy
Gwenevere enjoyed looking at all the farm animals.
Grace liked to pigs the most
Gwenevere found the scarecrows very interesting. She wasn't sure if she should like them or not. She kept asking why they are called scarecrows. I think she was confused by the name, she told me over and over that she wasn't scared of them, but then would say "they are scary."
Gwenevere spent a good 15 minutes splashing around in the puddles.
This was my favorite moment.
They decorated one of the pumpkin fields with an Alice in Wonderland theme.
Here Kevin is entertaining the kids with some good old spinning in circles.
After the pumpkin patch we decided to have launch at the Goofy Goose
BEST hamburger I've eaten in a long time

Gwenevere's saying: and a bit of mine
I just love the things Gwenevere says. I wish I could remember the hundreds of things she says that make me laugh.
Yesterday while driving home from the Pumpkin Patch, James and I were talking/dreaming about our someday future home. James wanted to show me a cute little house if found in Tacoma when Gwenevere said "I don't want to live in Cona." (Tacoma)
Me: "Do you want to live in University Place?" (the actual town that we live in)
Gwenevere: "NO"
Me: How about Washington?" ( I was trying to make a point.)
Gwenevere: No
I was stomped. Then James chimed in. "Where do you want to live?
Gwenevere with much excitement said "In a TREE!"
Gwenevere doesn't like to be left out of our conversations. Whenever James and I start talking/dreaming about what happens after school, Gwenevere usually tells us to stop talking, asks us what we are taking about or says I want to talk too, and changes the subject. I think having two girls is going to teach me to listen, actual listening, the kind that takes focus. To listen and not be thinking about what I'm going to say next, but to listen and hear the words they say.
Gwenevere isn't the only one who enjoys a good conversation. Grace is a talker too. I think she's the one that is really teaching me to listen. I'm amazed at her communication. I have never seen a 2 month old like her. She will look me straight in the eyes, and really try to focus. She will smile and laugh when I talk to her and she coos in response to the things I say to her. She wants to communicate so much, I wish I could hear her soul speak. I love having my two girls.
I couldn't have asked for a better family. Especially for a better husband. James is the joy in my life. I love the father he is to our girls, I love that he can listen. (maybe that's why we are blessed with girls.) I love that he is gentle and kind and supportive. I love that he is grounded and a hard worker. I love that James dreams, he sets goals and he achieves his righteous desires. I love you James.
Overall, we have a fun family. It's never a dull moment with Gwenevere and Grace around. They keep us on our feet, make us thing twice about the things we say and bring laughter into our home.
Okay so this post turned out to be a bit different than I thought. :-) Happy Sunday.

Growing Grace
Grace is 2 months old
Weight 11 lbs 11.4 oz
Height 22.75 ins
Head Circumference 38.1cm
Grace is a lively baby
She loves tummy time if Gwenevere is with her
She sleeps 6-7 hours at a time at night
When she awake she's very alert and loves to talk
I thought having another girl would bring me a Mama's girls but Grace is turning out to be very much a Papa's girl just like Gwenevere.
I love watching Grace light up when she sees Papa.
She loves to smile and talk to Papa and she loves to fall asleep in his arms
Grace doesn't like it when I drink milk (which I love, but have given up for the time being)
She eats like a pro and is gaining healthy weight
Grace can hold up her head and really tries to focus her eyes
I ordered Grace's birth announcements last week and I can't wait to get them in the mail. Until then here are some of my favorite pictures of my baby Grace
Growing Gwenevere
Gwenevere is 2.5 years old (34 months)
Weight 31lbs
Height 35.75 ins
Night and Day Potty trained
loves to talk and most people can understand what she says
enjoys being a big sister but doesn't smother Grace
Gwenevere is scared of Ghosts, and shadows
Gwenevere has an imaginary pet Mouse that she plays with in the car.
Last week Gwenevere started pretending to be a puppy. We call her spot. And the picture below is Spot in her dog house. It's been fun to have a puppy around the house.
Lately Gwenevere has been very interested in cooking. She usually gets upset if I start cooking something without asking her if she wants to help. Here she is helping me make my Mama's special rolls.buttering the rolls was her favorite part because I let her do it all by herself.
Gwenevere still enjoys Preschool. I'm so glad to have Tanya here, she is teaching me so much about this age. Yesterday Tanya taught the girls about the color Orange and the number 5. For snack time they ate 5 crackers and and Orange. Gwenevere's favorite part about snack time is we allow them to pore their own drinks. This is the Orange pumpkin Gwenevere decorated
On Tuesday we discovered the Tacoma nature park. A new favorite place for our family. Gwenevere had so much fun playing in the water, and exploring with Papa.
I was super excited when Gwenevere started climbing the rock. She's pretty cautious about everything physical so when she took the lead I had to take pictures. I'm so proud of her. When she gets older I plan to take her rock climbing.
