Hello Sunshine!  Hello Zoo

It's been nice to just go play.

Meeting baby Kali for the first time.
Can't wait to go back and see her play.

growing Gracefully

the other day while eating breakfast Grace turned to me and said "I am Big."

Yes, my little Grace you are growing up and I love it.  Despite the tantrums, the occasional back talking and hitting, I love that you are growing up.  I love your independence, your love for your big sister and your since of adventure.

The Move, baby, happy family, Mother's day and internet

Yippee!  Hooray!  we moved!  Oh I can't thank my friends enough for all the help they have been in making this move possible.  Seriously we are so blessed.

So on Friday May 3rd Grandma Sharolee picked up the girls for the weekend.  They had a cousin/grandma party that weekend.  James and I moved and Rebecca and Max celebrated their anniversary.  We all love Grandma Sharolee.  Way to go.

Friday night a friend came over and helped me clean the house while James finished up some odds and ends.  by 11pm we made it back to the apartment to continue packing until our eyelids wouldn't stay open any longer.

The next morning we woke up bright and early and made a lot of progress putting odds and ends into boxes.  This wasn't are best move and by far are worst organized move every but thanks so some awesome friends we managed.

Around 11 am the Johnson's showed up with their trailer and we got to work loading up everything.  We made our first load to the new house by 1pm ate lunch and then went back to pack and move the rest.  We stayed up late getting things organized and then we crashed.

Sunday James and I were both wiped out.  We made it to sacrament meeting and then our neighbor invited us over for dinner.  Grandma brought the girls back that night.  And the girls helped me build their new dressers before going to bed.

Monday morning we needed to go to the apartment and clean.  to make this task bearable we stopped for donuts before hand.

The whole day went by fast.  We cleaned and  the girls played, and by dinner time James was shampooing the carpet.  For dinner we decided to visit Lefty's a burger joint in University  Place.
A last hurrah but not really.

the waiter loved  Gwenevere's name and just about drooled over how pretty she is.  Yep we agree.

The next few days where spent unpacking and organizing   We're still in that process and as much as I want to post pictures of our new place.  I feel it would be better to do so when it's clean.  we may never get there but it's a goal of mine.

I also made a trip out to see the midwife.  Terah is awesome I just love her clinic and her knowledge.  baby  brother is growing and seems to be healthy so we're praying things will stay that way.

James has had several days off due to a lower work load at the hospital lately.  We haven't complained.  It's been nice having him home more.  James has worked hard to organize all the garage stuff: tools, bikes and camping stuff into the small area we have for these things.  He's also installed more cabinets and light fixtures and set up a ducting system for the microwave   It's amazing everything James can do, he is a man of many talents and I'm blessed to have him as my husband.  I love you so much James.

But to be honest it hasn't all been work around here, we've played a lot too.

We had friends come over the other day and the weather was perfect for swimming

On Sunday we celebrated Mother's day by spoiling me rotten.  I won't lie I loved every minute of it.  James woke up with the girls and made me breakfast.  We went to Church and Gwenevere sang with the Primary:  This is my favorite part of Mother's day.  I also recieved a plant at Church and if it doesn't die it will just prove I'm a good mom.  LOL

We came home from Church pretty exhausted   We had leftovers for dinner, took some quite time and then went to Dash Point Park to enjoy some family time.

Can you tell we haven't had internet for the past 2 weeks.  hehehehhehe

Celebrating the progess

Carpet was installed today.  Yippee!   We met James at the new house after work to eat dinner.  James is busy installing outlets and heaters and doing many many more odd jobs to help make our house a safe home.  But we are loving the progress being made.

Gwenevere and Grace just love their rainbow wall.
"My rainbow is looking good today."  Gwenevere, almost every time she walks into her new room

A picture of our messy living room but amazing hard wood floors.
Way to go James, they look awesome

yep we ate pizza for dinner.
A picture of our "blue/silver" wall.

Family room complete
black and white tile near fire place
James is going to build a wall around our NEW circuit beaker so all the wire from above will be covered.

The other end of the living room
I'm picturing a play area for the kids

Master bedroom with carpet.  Yippee

I'm going to paint the door to the master bedroom soon
or better yet, replace them.

I can't decide if I want to replace doors or buy trim first,
either way both are lower on our list of purchases for now.
It's time to get James his Shed,  he's worked so hard to make the home look just like what I want, I want to make sure he gets his shed soon.  Love this man

One more picture of the hardwood floors,

Gwenevere saw me taking pictures and had to jump in.

I am loving the progress we've made.  We're now ready to move in.  Yippee!  But to be completely honest.  Here are some projects still in the work.

Upstairs Bathroom
(black and white tile, maybe a new vanity, a bright color shower curtain and some major cleaning)

Replace banister and railing, Sand stairs and PAINT.

Family room nook, clean and organize

Laundry room,
(black and white tile, paint, build shelves)

Sunroom:
Get James a shed to put his tools, paint walls, lay-down industrial carpet enjoy lovely sunlight while I sew and do other fun crafts.

Sunroom loveliness.
We will be replacing the sliding door with french doors that open up to a beautiful garden in the back yard.  I'm so happy!

Downstairs bathroom
Black and white tile floors,  texture, paint walls and cabinets, possibly put new shower in.

Other projects to do someday,
new trim on new windows,
make curtains for all the windows,
replace some siding,
replace the roof,
Paint exterior,
take down large trees,
plant a garden,
possibly paint fence in the front yard and so forth.
Have a baby and pay for it.

The best part of owning a house,  the work is never finished.

More home improvement blogs are on their way.
