Happy Easter

Gwenevere's Easter basket. We decided not to add a lot of candy to the baskets this year. And the little bird is her favorite bird at the nature center. It chirps too

This is Grace's basket. I wanted to get her some baby sun glasses but sense we've all been sick I didn't have time to get them. Oh well.

The Easter bunny brought me a beautiful plant and James a vintage tie.

The Hello Kitty was  value village find thanks toTanya N Kevin Bohman and the Noah's ark was on clarance through desert book. I thought the puppets where clothe so I got them for Grace but it turns out they are cardboard. A little disapointed but when Gwenevere found it she was excited for the Easter bunny to bring it for "Grace to share with me."

James finds it strange that I grew up with the Easter bunny hiding our baskets but it's one tradition I plan on keeping. This is where the Easter bunny hid Grace's basket.

And the Easter bunny thought he/she was pretty funny with this one.

Alisha enjoyed lher talk on CD

Easter Morning, James turned on some Sunday music and we enjoyed watching the girls find their Easter baskets and play with their games.  Grace like the fake grass in her basket.

Oh yeah, and James shaved his head on Friday.  I think it looks real nice.

Since both girls and I where still sick we stayed home from Church
While James was busy cooking dinner we decorated Easter Eggs

After a wonderful dinner we took our decorated Easter eggs outside and had an Easter egg hunt.
We each took turns hiding the eggs.

Closing her eyes while I hid the eggs

Our Easter was a peaceful day filled with simple reminders of the love from our Savior.

before getting ready for bed.
Gwenevere and I put up our first bird feeder.
Both Gwenevere and I have wanted a bird feeder for a very long time.

I feel my Savior’s love,
In all the world around me
His Spirit warms my soul
Through everything I see.

I feel my Savior’s love
And know that He will bless me
I offer Him my heart;
My shepherd He will be.
He knows I will follow Him,
Give all my life to Him
I feel my Savior’s love,
The love He freely gives me.
I’ll share my Savior’s love
By serving others freely,
In serving I am blessed,
In giving I receive.
He knows I will follow Him,
Give all my life to Him
I feel my Savior’s love,
The love He freely gives me.
"I Feel My Savior's Love" is from the Children's Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Happy Easter!

We love you Gwenevere

Even on the not so fun days, we love our little Gwenevere.

She is learning what's right and wrong and having a good time doing so.

Gwenevere has picked up a love for learning about the gospel.  I find myself looking up fun lessons to teach her about Jesus and the prophets.

The other day we had Preston and Taylor come visit.  (I LOVE having cousins close by.  We need to get together more often.) While they where here visiting, Preston mentioned that "The yellow car was broken."  Gwenevere replied saying "My Papa can fix anything that can be broken."  a moment passed and then she continued.  "Like Christmas Trees, and bikes and everything."
Another thing I love about Gwenevere is she is not Gwen or Gwenie  whenever we call her that or any nickname for that matter, she replies "I'm not (nickname inserted),  I'm Gwenevere."

The other day while driving in the car I saw Grace looking out her window.  I said "Grace do you love looking out your window?"  Gwenevere replied.  "I'm not Grace I'm Gwenevere."  "I know silly I was talking to Grace."  was my reply.  Gwenevere does this often, I think it will take some time for her to realize we talk to Grace too.

Super funny side note:  this is what Gwenevere wanted to wear to her Easter party.
apparently we still think it is winter.

Pictures just for fun

Hello World,
are you still there?

We've been sick for the last few days and it feels like we're trapped inside.

So to escape we've decided to blog.

Not a lot has happened mostly we've been watching movies, drinking water, and doing a hold lot of cuddling.  Here are some random pictures from the last couple of weeks.

This is Gwenevere's "Hello Kitty"  PJs.
She wants Hello Kitty PJs so bad and I haven't gotten any for her yet so she's turned her Kitty Jammies into "Hello Kitty"  Pjs.  Now I can wait and get her summer Hello Kitty pjs instead.

Gwenevere loves taking pictures.  Everyday I delete 5-25 pictures she has taken.  I love looking at all the pictures she takes.  It makes me remember what the world looks like from the view of a 3 year old.  It mostly reminds me how silly I look most of the time.

But at least I'm not the only one who looks silly.

Preschool is still kicking and we love it.
the girls are driving Vans on their Vacation to a Volcano.
can you guess what letter we where studying that day?

Just another one of Gwenevere's photos.
Grace sure loves Gwenevere.

I've been playing basketball every week for the past couple of months.
I'm not very good but I have some great friends who let me play anyway.
Last week we played our very first game.  it was a blast.

The other day I was in Fred Myers shopping while James was in the car with the girls when I got a call from James saying he was going to come find me.  When we bumped into each other I was blown away by how grown up my girls look.

We had a very restful conference weekend.  I was worried I wouldn't get to listen to much of conference with a 3 year old but since she was sick she enjoyed cuddling next to Papa.

Last weekend we picked up a papa murphey's kid's pizza for Gwenevere.

relaxing in mom and papa's bed.
