On Friday, I had a cub scout training meeting so Gwenevere and James spent the evening just the two of them. They went to the ward Potluck and than watched the sun set over looking the Puget Sound. But that was not all Saturday morning James and Gwenevere went on a Daddy Daughter date, all planned by Gwenevere. the Puget Sound University Bike Swap. Where Gwenevere got to drive a bus, Jame got two new bike bibs, And Gwenevere and James bought Baby sister and Gwenevere matching T-shirts. They also got two free water bottles, a clothe head band, a bike bell, and some reflector stickers.
After looking at all kinds of bikes, Gwenevere and James ate a picnic lunch and headed over to the zoo.
Super Papa, did the entire zoo with Gwenevere.
(I don't normally do that.)
And after the zoo Gwenevere got to ride the Carousel.
But of course a Daddy Daughter date isn't complete until you have Ice Cream.
So on the way home James and Gwenevere shared an Ice Cream cone.
This is how they returned from their Daddy Daughter date
When Gwenevere woke up from her nap, she was so excited to tell me about her date with Dad. She said the wolves where her favorite animal at the zoo. She asked Baby sister to come out of my tummy so she could wear her shirt and she's been asking Papa for another date this Friday.
I told her she's going to have to wait until Mama gets a date with daddy first.
James mentioned "dates with Gwenevere are so easy she plans them and than enjoys whatever we end up doing". I guess I need to learn a few things from my daughter.
I'm so grateful James is such a wonderful father.
Gwenevere loves her Papa and every morning the first question I have to answer is
"Where's papa?"
Thank you James
