The Fair

Papa traded work days with a co-worker so he could join us at the fair this year.  We had a BLAST.

We went the day after our anniversary and it made the day feel like a continual celebration, this time celebrating our marriage with the kids.

duck races

exploring the chicken exhibit

the first ride of the day. the girls where eager to try out their wrist bands

Grace really had a lot of fun, but doesn't enjoy having her picture taken anymore

Checking out the bee exhibit with Papa

The girls had a blast in the ball pit

Flying High

Papa and Gwenevere on a spinning ride

Waiting for the ride to start

Up Up and away.  On the way to Portland or so they say

With the purchase of a wrist band each girl got to play one game for free.  This was the prize

Love Grace's face

Lunchtime break and a bit of wool riders only mutton bustin' viewing.
Gwenevere wasn't even tempted to try the sport.

Adding another squished penny to our family collection

The girls earned 5.00 watching our neighbors chickens and this is what they wanted to spend their money on.  Gotta love Cotton Candy

Visiting the dairy section of the fair

Beautiful produce

We got to try many yummy desserts
Papa's favorite part of the fair, the food.

Going on the scary ride and not even scared

face painting a butterfly

This guy is ready to ride the rides like his sisters.  Maybe next year

We went home reluctantly after a fun filled day of dreams coming true.  Seeing the girls ride all the kid rides made me realize Disneyland can wait.  The fair is a cheaper form of entertainment that we can do almost every year if we wish.  Oh happy Day!

I agree with James the food is the best part of any fair!

Looks like the girls had fun!
