Utah Day 7: Conference and Idaho Falls

Oh happy Sunday.  I woke up extra excited for today.  Gwenevere and I had tickets to watch the Sunday morning session of General Conference Live.

We got dressed and ate breakfast (thank you for the yummy donuts Daniel and Dalynn).  And then Dalynn drove us down to the conference center.

Dalynn dropped us off a few blocks from Temple Square.  It was so fun to walk towards the conference center holding hands with Gwenevere.

We waited in line to enter the building and then went and found our seats.

We got there about 40 minutes early.  At 9:30 they broadcast "Musica and the Spoken word".  James' paternal Grandfather loved the Sounds of Sunday and would listen to it every Sunday as part of his individual warshop.  When the program began, I felt a strong love from Grandpa Roemhildt.  The theme for the message was "We Stand on the shoulders of the giants who preceded us".
"Our forebears always hoped that future generations would stand a little taller and reach a little higher than they did.  And so we seek to honor them by living up to their legacy.  As we do, we hope that someday we my provide the shoulders upon which the next generation of giants will stand." Even though I have not met Green Grandpa in this life, I look forward to seeing him someday.
After sneaking a picture I turned off my phone and thoroughly enjoyed watching conference with Gwenevere.  We got to stand and watch our Prophet Thomas S Monson walk into the conference center.  We saw him personally bare his Testimony and feel of his strength.

When Conference was over we took one last picture and slowly headed back outside.

Once we got outside we contact Auntie Laura who was going to try and watch the 2nd session with Jace.  they where close to Temple Square so we went searching for them.
We found them and visited for a while and then went back to Daniel and Dalynn's home.

When we got back to Daniel and Dalynn's house Gwenevere helped Dalynn make rolls while I packed up again.  Gwenevere was so sad to leave.  We didn't get enough time with Daniel and Dalynn's family and she was longing for more.  But it was time, and we need to go.  This time we where headed to Idaho Falls.  It was time to meet up with Grace and Everett and have a little bit of time with Grandma and Grandpa Thomas.
this makes my heart happy.
We sad goodbyes to the whole family and wave goodbye as we drove away.  Thankfully we where not alone.  Uncle Seth and Auntie Alaisa had decided they wanted more Grandma and Grandpa Thomas time too.  they where a few hours ahead of us but we where excited to have more time with family.

The drive to Idaho falls was peaceful.  We checked the oil half way just to make sure things were okay and continued on.  We raced the big storm clouds and arrived in Idaho falls about 20 minutes before the storm arrived

When we got to Grandma Thomas' house dinner was waiting for us.  Grace and Everett where jumping on the Trampoline and everyone was having fun.

We ate dinner, visited and played a few games before going to bed.

PS  Seth also pulled out Grandma thomas' journal and we read my birth story.  This was the first time I had heard my birth story (that I can recall) and it made me so happy to hear it.
