Easter Weekend and General Conference

Easter weekend was going to be a busy weekend for us so we decided to die Easter Eggs Friday afternoon.  The kids had so much fun.  We had 9 eggs which meant three egg a piece.  The hardest part was telling them they where done.  Next year I'll plan ahead and get a dozen eggs.  My camera is having a hard time focusing lately so the pictures are blurry.

Grace liked using the tongs

Yellow and blue we're making fancy eggs this year.

I love the concentration

Grace was so sad it was over, but when she stopped crying we took this precious picture of her favorite egg

Everett died his eggs and ate them all in one sitting
Saturday morning we went to ballet.  James listened to conference while working on the shed.  When we came home we cleaned the house for 4 hours and listened to conference.  both Gwenevere and Grace took turned sitting by the computer coloring and watching conference.  I'm so glad they enjoy listening to our Church leaders.

After the Saturday afternoon session of conference.  We frantically packed our bags and headed down to Portland to spend Easter Sunday with Family.

Before we left the house we said a family prayer.  First Gwenevere said a prayer.  It was beautiful and full of love for our savior and his atonement and Resurrection.  I was amazing at her understanding and depth of gratitude she had.  Then Grace wanted to say a prayer.  Her's too was a beautiful prayer.  Thankful for Papa and our bunnies and knowing where are meat comes from.

I'm forever grateful for Heavenly Father allowing me the opportunity to be a parent in this life.  It's truly a humbling experience.

Grace slept the entire way down but this little man didn't.

Once we got to Portland we met up with Grandpa Roemhildt, Austin, Daniel, Max Rebecca Charlie and Miles for a Speghetti Factory dinner.  It was a bit crazy since Everett was wild tired and Grace was wild hipper, but we all had a good time.

Oh and the balloon man came around and gave all the kids balloons.  Gwenevere got a Kitty, Grace got a bear, Charlie got a Hat and Everett got a snake.  Which he bit.  After that he kept saying "boom" because that's what the balloon did,

After dinner we went to Grandpa Roemhildt house and spent the night.    The Easter bunny stopped by but decided not to leave baskets since he could still see little ones awake so instead he left a note and told them the baskets would be at Red (Nancy Wilcox) Grandma's house.

Thanks to Uncle Austin and Uncle Dan, true to the Easter bunny's note the girls found their baskets at Red Grandma house.

Sunday Conference sessions were less than peaceful but we tried our best.  Grace didn't go to sleep  until after midnight and all three kids where pretty tired the next day.  Grandpa Roemhildt made a big breakfast and well all tried to listen.  James did get Everett down for a nap during the afternoon session.

After Conference all the family gathered together to have a family dinner, celebrate birthdays and have an Easter egg hunt.

ready set GO

The afternoon was perfect.  Family, Cousins, playing outside and eating tons of food.  After everyone went home, we put our kids in PJs, brushed teeth and headed back home.

Happy Easter!
