Happy Papa Day

We had been playing so much we didn't do anything extra special for Father's day.  But I've learned that we need to celebrate Father's day the before Saturday so we can make the most out of celebrating Papa.

Sunday morning James woke up earlier to go set up chairs.  He does this every Sunday.  Most of the time I just sleep in til the last minute and then get ready but since it was Father's day.  I woke up early too and got ready.  While James was away I woke up the girls and helped them make a Father's day card.  When James got home the girls gave him his card and we all gave him big hugs.

Then we hurried to get ready for church since we have 9 am church.  And that is all that I remember of our Father's day celebrations.

But her are some of my favorite things about James' Daddy Duties (if you can even call them that.)

Whenever Gwenevere is sick she wants her Papa

If we ask the girls what they want to do this weekend they almost always reply go on a Daddy Daughter Date

James loves to read to the girls before bed and often times falls asleep with them.

Everett's favorite time of day is when Papa comes home.  He crawls right over to him, the Papa picks up Everett the growl at each other, Everett pulls Papa's beard and then they go outside to check the garden and rabbits together.  Everett loves helping outside.

Grace says she loves Papa's cooking more than Mom's.  Papa is a great cook and the whole family eats healthier because of him.

Papa takes us on lots of Adventures: camping, hiking biking, walks, berry picking, swimming, zoo trips and so much more.

Papa gives great piggy back rides.  And is fun to wrestle with.

Papa is also very good about snuggling and cuddling with his kiddos after Church so Mama can have some alone time if needed.

Papa loves watching movies with the girls and has special movies he watches with the girls that Mama doesn't like to watch.

We love our Papa very much.  Thanks for being a great Dad.
