Cousin time

A few weeks ago Stephanie, James' cousin and I decided we needed to get together.  Last thursday Stephanie and her daughter Lexi came to visit.  Gwenevere and I had so much fun.  It's always nice to have visitors.  On Thursday we went to the Children's Museum in hopes that it wouldn't be too crowded.  We didn't know that one thursday every month happens to be free.  So guess what.  It was crowded.  :(  haa haa Oh well.  I think the girls had a lot of fun.  Lexi really enjoyed the red rockers and magnetic ball ramp.  

 Gwenevere enjoyed trying on "HATS" and doing crafts in the art room.  She really liked the fact that I let her use scissors.

So we headed home for naps, more play time, dinner and bath time.

After doing Gwenevere's hair three times before Church Mama was on her last straw when Gwenevere starts taking out her hair tie.  

Mama almost in tears: No, Gwenevere don't pull out her hair ties.  That makes mama so sad.

Gwenevere:  It's okay Mom,  don't cry.  

As she hands Mama her last hair tie.  Papa started laughing and that was the end of that.  

Mama and Gwenevere are driving in the car,  Gwenevere says something but Mama can't hear what she said.  Mama asked Gwenevere to say it again, but still can't hear Gwenevere.  Finally mom turns of the air conditioner to make the car quieter and says "Speak really loud so I can hear you."

Gwenevere: "I liked that TRUCK!"

Gwenevere, thanks for being my two year old.  I love watching your learn new things, ask questions and obey.  You make me smile everyday.  I love you so much.

 

Gwenevere can count

Gwenevere can count to 11.  She likes to count to 13 but she skips 12 every time, so I don't think that counts.  The video isn't the best but I just had to share my excitement for her learning.  Have I mentioned I LOVE having a 2 year old.

I Love having a two year old,  She is so much fun.  This morning Gwenevere was cuddling an imaginary thing.  I asked Gwenevere what she was holding and she said.  "A snake."  She then let me hold her snake and I got to pet it.  She said its name was "scapboo".

"Please hear my heart beat, Dad."

The other night when James came home from work, Gwenevere ran into our bedroom and grabbed James' Stethoscope, running down the hall Gwenevere repeated "Please hear my heart beat Dad?  Please hear my heart beat."  It was so cute.  For the next several minutes James and Gwenevere listened to each other heart beats and played Doctor.  Gwenevere looks forward to when Papa come home.  She is so excited to see her Papa after being around grumpy old Mom all day.  We (Gwenevere and I) are both blessed to have such an awesome Papa in our home.

Today, Gwenevere found my wedding bracelet.   I was explaining to her that I wore the bracelet for our wedding.  Gwenevere responded by asking me "at Church?"  (I don't often where jewerly unless it's for church.)  I told her Papa and I where married in the Temple.  With all her concentration she looked straight into my eyes and said "I want to go, to go to the Temple, someday."

Gwenevere, I want you to go to the temple someday too.  

Please don't forget your desire to go.  

Bones and more

Gwenevere realized she has bones in her body.  Tonight's bedtime converstation between Gwenevere and Papa went something like this.

Papa: Gwenevere do you want to lay your head on my shoulder?

Gwenevere: "Daddy you bones here?"pointing to his shoulder. "Daddy you have bones? bones in your hands? Bones in her back?  Bones in your Body?  Can I see them? trying to pull up his shirt to see them.

Today we went to the Northwest Trek with the Box family.  It was so awesome.  Gwenevere fell asleep on the drive to the Trek, when we parked and got out of the car Gwenevere was amazed at the forest around us.

G "What's this daddy?"  looking all around.  

P  "It's the forest.  Do you like it?"

G "YEAH it's GOOD."

My little girl is growing up.  Lately she's been asking to do more things by herself.  The other day I helped her make chocolate milk "by herself".  I poured the milk and she helped me pour the chocolate syrup and than she mixed it up "All by herself."  My little girl is growing up.

Portland Children's Museum

While we where in Portland visiting family and friends.  We had the opportunity to go to the Children's Museum with the Sarah, Elijah and Skye Frantz.  It was a blast.  So many cool things.  My intentions were to write a detailed blog about our fun experience but since it's been over a week and I've completely forgot about half the things we did.  I'll let the pictures tell the story.

Gwenevere also enjoy the Veterinarian Clinic where she pretended to give a doggy a bath.

 James' favorite part hands down was the water room.  Gwenevere and James played in the water for a good 30 minutes straight.

  By this time we finished Gwenevere was a walking zombie ready for a nap.  But we had so much fun.  Thanks Frantz family for the fun trip.

High tempatures

So this past week has been amazing.  We had some really nice sunny days and we took advantage of every minute.

Speaking of High Temperatures: Gwenevere had a fever of 102.7 the highest she has ever been.  It was kinda scary but this morning we found a two year moler in her mouth. 

The PARK

Oh how I love spring.  I love that we can go to the park and spend hours doing everything and nothing and have so much fun.

I took Gwenevere to the park on Thursday.  We brought some chalk and had a blast.

Knock Knock and Birthdays

I over hear Gwenevere in the bathtub talking to herself.

"knock knock."  "Come in"  "It's Grandma's House!"

This morning Gwenevere woke up and started talking about Preston's birthday.  She kept asking if it's Preston's birthday.  "Go to Preston's house? Play with Preston's BALLS?  And his Stairs?  And his BEDROOM?"   Now if only she could wait a few more weeks.
