surprise visit from Dumpa

We got a call from Grandpa Roemhildt about 9:50 in the morning letting us know he was on his way.

When Grandpa arrived we went a picked grapes with my neighbors.  Then we joined Grandpa on a trip to Seattle.

We stopped at McDonalds for lunch and then headed to the Seattle Temple grounds.

we walked around the temple grounds and even went into the front entrance waiting room and looked at church magazines.  Gwenevere was so excited to go into the temple.

Grace kept saying this was her baby sister

we met a tempe grands worker who showed us the hidden room under the water fountain.

After the the tempe we stopped by an Albertson's to pick up stacks.  Then we drove into down town Seattle and Grandpa showed us the Monorail
We rode the monorail to the Seattle Space needled and played around the parks for a few hours

"No, you help me"

after playing at the park for some time we road the monorail back to the car and the drove to the Seattle ferry terminal.  We figured since traffic was going to be a mess we might as well just take the ferry to bremerton and avoid the friday even traffic.  This was a very good idea.
waiting at the ferry terminal

we had a front of the line view of our arriving ferry

Gwenevere was very excited to see Harbor seal
By the time we arrived in Bremerton we where all hungry.  We found a Sharies Dinner not to far and enjoyed a relaxing meal after a fabulous day.
Grace ordered french fries and a cinnamon roll

Grandpa ordered ribs, and Gwenevere ordered pancakes.  I ordered salad and salmon with a cup of hot chocolate.  Everett was already asleep so I just held him while we ate dinner.

It was a perfect day.  Thank you Grandpa Roemhildt for coming to play.

This was truly one of the best days I have had in a long time. Thank you Elizabeth, Gwenevere, Grace and Everest for joining on my wanderings. A special thank you for Elizabeth for capturing the narrative so well.
